••• Says Awelewa is to Govern Ekiti LGA not to be an Agent of Destruction

The Osi Welfare Association (OWA) National strongly condemns the brutal killing of two young men, Tayo Ishaq Ogundari and Oluwasegun Taye, from Osi Town by Epe-Opin community youths. This heinous act is unacceptable and has sparked widespread outrage and tension among the people of Osi Town.
The Osi community is further distressed by the disappearance of Mr. Kareem Rasaq, who has been missing for the last three days. We call on the Kwara State government, led by His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbduRasaq, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, DSS Kwara State command, and the federal government to intervene immediately and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The people of Osi Town demand justice and protection from the state government and security agencies. Dr. Arch Olu Joseph Takiti, National President of OWA, urged the Executive Chairman of Ekiti LG, Hon. Wale Awelewa, to stay clear of the crisis and allow justice to prevail.
Dr. Takiti stated, “Your office is to govern, protect lives and properties of Ekiti LGA, not to intimidate us and waste the lives and properties of innocent people.”
We also call on the security operatives to swing into action and bring the perpetrators to book. The people of Osi Town will not tolerate any further violence or intimidation from Epe-Opin community.
The alleged involvement of Hon. Wale Awelewa, the Chief Oluomo of Epe Community, in the crisis is disturbing and unacceptable. Osi town is known for peace and home of hospitality.
We demand that Awelewa should be held accountable for his actions, leadership incompetency, and long-term hatred for the people of Osi town. The Osi community is aware of the efforts by Awelewa to distort the peace of the community by bringing in thugs and machineries from neighboring towns.
We implore our peace-loving governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbduRasaq, to immediately call to order Hon. Wale Awelewa, to prevent Ekiti LG from turning into a war zone. The Osi community has lost confidence in Hon. Awelewa’s continued governance due to his biased roles. We patiently await your immediate intervention.
