AbdulRazaq Puts Kwara Students On Global Tech Map with Coding Scheme

In a bold step toward human capital development and digital inclusion, the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq through his special assistance on digital innovation, Honorable Ishola Kayode popularly known as Kaybaba has launched a transformative initiative aimed at equipping young minds with critical tech skills.

The Coding & Digital Literacy Program (Holiday Edition), already impacting 5,503 students out of a 7,500 target, is redefining education and innovation across the state.

The program, currently active in 50 public schools spanning all 16 local government areas, is more than just a seasonal intervention. It is a strategic investment in the future—one that empowers students to not only participate in the digital economy but to lead within it.

“This initiative meets communities where they are while preparing our young people for where the world is going,” Hon. Ishola, Special Assistant on Digital Innovations whose office is in charge of the program said. “It’s a scalable, sustainable, and inclusive model designed to reflect the realities of our state and the demands of a rapidly evolving global tech landscape.”

Thanks to Governor Abdulrazaq’s forward-thinking leadership, Kwara is positioning itself as a trailblazer in youth empowerment and digital education. Students enrolled in the program are gaining hands-on experience in coding, creative problem-solving, and digital literacy—skills that are increasingly essential in today’s world.

From coding labs to critical thinking classrooms, the program is transforming curiosity into competency. It’s part of a broader vision to raise a generation that is not only tech-savvy but also ready to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth.

As one observer put it, “This is how nations are built—one community, one child, one line of code at a time.”

Kwara State isn’t waiting for the future. Under Governor Abdulrazaq’s administration, it is actively building it.
