May Day: Kwara Gov Reiterates Commitment to Workers’ Welfare

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, has extended warm greetings to men and women of both the public and private sectors on the occasion of the 2025 International Workers’ Day.

In his statement, the Governor appreciated the immense contributions of workers in the state, describing their dedication, resilience, and skills as the pillars of growth and development.

“I extend warm greetings to men and women of both the public and private sectors whose efforts power our economy and shape the future of our society,” AbdulRazaq said.

For us in Kwara State, we appreciate the immense contributions of our workers — whether as civil servants, farmers, factory workers, teachers, healthcare personnel, engineers, artisans, and professionals across all sectors.”

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a Kwara where workers thrive, where decent jobs are created, and where every sector is empowered to contribute meaningfully to the state’s prosperity.

He highlighted the administration’s efforts to implement policies that strengthen the civil service, grow the economy, attract investments, and expand job opportunities.

AbdulRazaq also emphasized the need for workers to adapt to the changing world of work driven by technology, automation, and artificial intelligence. He noted that this thinking is at the heart of the state’s numerous initiatives, including the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, and ICT centres.

The Governor extended his heartfelt appreciation to all workers for their vital role in the state’s achievements and commended Labour leaders for their support and partnership.

“I wish everyone a fulfilling and inspiring Workers’ Day celebration,” he concluded.
