Children’s Day: Amofin Akogun Offsets School Fees for 80 Pupils In 16 Schools

In celebration of Children’s Day 2025, Amofin Joseph Titilope Akogun, through the BTA Foundation, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to education and community development by offsetting the school fees of 80 indigent pupils across 16 schools within the four local government areas of Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, and Oke Ero in Kwara State.

This compassionate gesture is part of a broader effort to promote equitable access to education, particularly for children from underserved communities within our Federal Constituency.

The BTA Foundation, renowned for its focus on education, empowerment, business development, and community upliftment has a strong track record of support for academic pursuits. Since 2017, Amofin Akogun has awarded over 132 scholarships, distributed thousands of educational materials, and in February 2025, sponsored 151 free JAMB forms. Notably, he granted a full tertiary scholarship to David Ayomipo, the top-performing student among the Igi Iwe Scholars for 2025.

*Reflecting on the significance of Children’s Day, Amofin Akogun stated:*

“Children are like arrows in the hands of the mighty. They are our future leaders and must be encouraged to access quality education. While the fees may appear meagre, many parents genuinely struggle to meet them.”

*He further expressed a vision for the future:*

“I look forward to a time when the school fees, feeding, and essential supplies for pupils up to Primary 3 are fully covered by us, the Government and its Representatives as it is done in developed nations like the United Kingdom. We must emulate such progressive practices to build a more inclusive society.”

“I love children and will continue to support them to reach their peak in life,” Amofin Akogun affirmed.
