Minister Musawa Reaffirms Commitment to Global Tourism Recovery

Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa Musa has made her significant debut at the 123rd Session of the UN Tourism Executive Council in Segovia, Spain.

This pivotal global platform, where ministers converge to shape the future of tourism, marked her first appearance following the recent realignment of her ministry to encompass tourism.

In her address, Minister Musawa reaffirmed Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to global recovery, sustainable development, and regional cooperation within the tourism sector.

She highlighted avenues for growth through culture, creativity, and strategic initiatives such as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and diaspora homecoming programs.

The Minister eloquently outlined a clear national strategy, meticulously built on fostering robust partnerships, implementing essential resources policy reforms, and strengthening international collaboration.

She concluded her impactful presentation by formally extending an invitation to all member states to attend the 68th UN Tourism Commission for Africa (CAF) Meeting, set to be hosted in Abuja this June.

This invitation powerfully spotlighted Nigeria’s readiness to lead through its rich cultural heritage and innovative spirit, offering a vibrant showcase for African tourism on the global stage.
