Hijrah 1447 AH – Sarkin Gobir Congratulates the Muslim Ummah

As Muslims across the globe welcome the new Islamic year, 1447 AH, the Sarkin Gobir and Madawaki of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has extended warm congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah.

In his goodwill message marking 1 Muharram 1447 AH, Sarkin Gobir expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to witness the beginning of another Hijrah calendar year. He urged Muslims to approach the new year with renewed faith, gratitude, and a deeper commitment to the teachings of Islam.

Alhaji Yakubu Gobir emphasized the significance of the Hijrah as a symbol of sacrifice, resilience, and the pursuit of righteousness. He encouraged the faithful to draw inspiration from the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) migration, using it as a call to personal reflection, community service, and the promotion of peace and unity in society.

“As we step into the new year, let us rededicate ourselves to the values of compassion, justice, and humility,” he said. “We must continue to support one another, uphold the tenets of Islam, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of our communities and nation.”

The Sarkin Gobir prayed for a year filled with divine blessings, protection, and prosperity for all, urging Muslims to keep the spirit of Hijrah alive in their hearts and actions throughout the year.

Hijrah 1447 AH begins with renewed hope and a call to spiritual awakening for Muslims worldwide.
