Federal Character Commission Condemns Protest By Non- Staff, Sponsored Crowds

•• Dissociates Self from Protesters

••• Lauds Dankaka’s Reforms, Commitment to Transparency, Accountability and Meritorious in Civil Service

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) on Thursday strongly condemned a protest held at its headquarters, describing the demonstration as being staged by “non-staff members and sponsored crowds.”

The Commission stated it views the action as a deliberate attempt to politicize and undermine its integrity.
In a statement released by its Media Team, the FCC clarified that the protest was not organized by its staff or management and does not reflect the views or interests of the Commission.

The FCC explicitly dissociated itself from the protesters and their actions, asserting they were “clearly driven by political motivations.”
The Commission used the opportunity to commend its staff and management for their dedication and commitment to the FCC’s core values of transparency, accountability, and meritocracy.

The statement lauded the leadership of Executive Chairman Dr. Muheebah Dankaka, citing “significant strides” in promoting these values. The FCC highlighted reforms initiated under Dr. Dankaka, which it described as “unprecedented” and foundational for a better future.

Key achievements attributed to Dr. Dankaka’s leadership include:

* Visionary Leadership: A commitment to excellence and integrity.
* Anti-Corruption Efforts: Tireless efforts to combat corruption and indiscipline within the Commission.
* Eradication of Job Racketeering: Successful elimination of job racketeering, ensuring merit-based appointments.
* Staff Welfare: Improvements in staff welfare through comprehensive office renovations and the commissioning of new offices across various states.
* Staff Training: Emphasis on staff training and exposure to monitoring activities of federal government establishments.
* Compliance Monitoring: Constant monitoring of federal agencies to ensure full compliance with the Federal Character Principle.

FCC Directors were quoted in the statement, praising Dr. Dankaka’s “unwavering commitment” to ensuring non-negotiable compliance with the Federal Character Principle.

The Federal Character Commission, including its board members, management, and staff, declared its solid support for Dr.

Muheebah Dankaka, acknowledging her as the driving force behind the Commission’s “unprecedented growth and development.”
