Kwarans will on Monday June 30, 2025 host Kwara United team that won President Federation Cup to victory possession and banquet to celebrate the great achievement.
According to the organisers, the possession walk with the Federation Cup will commence by 12:30pm from Eiyekorin to major parts of Ilorin, the state capital and terminate at Banquet Hall opposite Kwara State Government House.
Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq and other state officials are expected to welcome the 2025 Federation Cup Champions.
Meanwhile, the President/CEO Kursi Investment and a Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Amb Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki-Gambari has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the victory of Kwara United during 2025 President Federation Cup final.
Yahaya Seriki in a statement issued on Monday described the victory of Kwara United over Abakaliki FC during the match at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Lagos on Saturday as result of Governor AbdulRazaq’s strategic investment in sports and other sectors in the state.
The Ilorin Born Politician who pledged ten million naira (N10million) gift to encourage players before the match, highlights renovation of Kwara State Stadium, procurement sporting facilities, improvement in staff welfare and others as positive factors for the victory.
He also acknowledged the Governor’s personal sacrifices by attending the final match to boost players’ morale in spite of his busy schedule.
Yahaya Seriki also praised the team for their dedication and resilience which lead to breaking jinx by winning the championship and qualifying for Continental Confederation Cup after decades. He also used the opportunity to applaud Kwara United U-19 that clinched Youth National League on Sunday.
The Business Mogul therefore implored Kwarans to troop out for the trophy parade today.
