Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, representing Kwara North Senatorial District, has extended his profound congratulations to the Kwara State contingent for their triumphant performance at the President’s School Debate Competition (Senior Category), where they emerged as national winners.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Senator Sadiq lauded the “outstanding students” who brought pride to the state: Moshood Kamaldeen (GSS Ilorin), AbdulAzeez Abdulmuntasir (St. Anthony Secondary School Ilorin), Usman Mariam Enyo (Ilorin Grammar School Ilorin), and AbdulAzeez Aisha (Nawarudeen Grammar School Offa).
He described them as “true Ambassadors of Kwara’s excellence,” noting that their success reflects not only their personal brilliance and discipline but also the quality of mentorship from their dedicated coach, Mrs. Babatunde Amina Idowu, and the nurturing support system within Kwara’s educational institutions.
The Senator specifically commended His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, for his continuous and strategic investments in the education sector. He highlighted the Governor’s laudable gesture of rewarding each student with ₦1 million and each coach with ₦500,000, affirming it as a testament to his genuine commitment to motivating excellence and celebrating merit.
Senator Sadiq also applauded the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, along with the leadership and staff of the Teaching Service Commission, SUBEB, and all education stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to reposition education in Kwara State.
