The Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman (SAS) Foundation, in collaboration with international NGOs Evergreen Initiative and SheBuildLives, has officially launched Project Tutored 25 in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The program, which aims to benefit over 100 students from underserved communities, is designed to provide academic reinforcement, vocational training, and essential learning resources to children from low-income backgrounds. Having already recorded successes in other states, the initiative has now been introduced in Ilorin to empower rural students with practical skills and mentorship opportunities.
Scheduled to run from 28th July to 17th August 2025, the program will engage 30 volunteers who will train students in digital literacy, leadership, and soft skills, as well as provide hands-on vocational training in shoe making, bead making, and soap production. This comprehensive approach is intended to equip participants with both academic knowledge and practical skills to help them thrive in the future. To remove barriers to learning, participants will also be offered daily meals during the program and provided with essential school supplies.
Engineer Saleeman Adedoyin Saleeman, the founder of the SAS Foundation and a globally renowned IT leader with over a decade of experience in corporate America, reaffirmed his commitment to using education as a tool for transformation. “Our goal is to train tens of thousands of individuals in IT and to cultivate a new generation of exceptional professionals in Nigeria,” he stated. “We believe our country has the talent and potential; what we need is to give our people the right tools and opportunities to thrive.”
Through the SAS Foundation, Engineer Saleeman has continued to implement projects that empower youth, promote technology adoption, and improve access to quality education, particularly in rural communities. His philanthropic gestures have earned commendations from the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, as well as from other traditional and religious leaders, who praised his dedication and genuine compassion for uplifting the less privileged.
Both the SAS Foundation and Evergreen Initiative have announced plans to expand Project Tutored 25 across more communities in Kwara State in future editions, with the goal of creating a lasting educational and vocational impact on rural children and youth.
