Abuja, Nigeria – A shocking revelation has uncovered the true masterminds behind the recent controversy surrounding the unacceptable appointment of another Southerner as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
The move, allegedly orchestrated by desperate cabals headed by Mr. Kayode Oyetola in President Tinubu’s government, is a calculated attempt to undermine the principles of federal character and create divisions between the North and South.
These cabals, driven by self-centered desperation, are colliding with those affected by the fight against corruption to fight back against the giant strides and reforms brought by Dr. Muheebah Dankaka, a Northern woman, during her tenure as FCC Executive Chairman. Her efforts to promote fairness, equity, and national unity have been remarkable, and her commitment to upholding the principles of federal character is unwavering.
The Oyetola-led cabal’s actions are motivated by a desire to undermine President Tinubu’s reform agenda and destroy his hard-earned relationship with the North.
By pushing for the appointment of another Southerner as FCC Chairman, despite knowing fully well that FCSC, which is the second agency overseeing federal recruitment is already headed by one Southerner, the Oyetola-led cabals aim to disrupt the regional balance and create tensions between the North and South.
We urge President Tinubu to take decisive action and prevent Oyetola’s cabal from using his government to turn the South against the North.
To promote regional balance, fairness, and national unity, we suggest that the FCC chairmanship be retained by a Northerner, while a Southerner could be compensated in another form.
This approach will ensure that the FCC’s leadership reflects the principles of federal character and promotes national unity.
By prioritizing regional balance and fairness in appointments, President Tinubu can build a stronger, more united Nigeria.
