The Irepodun Youth Council (IYC) has engaged in a collaborative meeting with the Arandun Youth Forum as part of its ongoing mission to strengthen unity and ensure the inclusion of all youths across the local government area.
According to a statement issued by the council’s Director of New Media, Sulaiman Kehinde Guba, the IYC President, Comrade Ibiwoye Olaniyi Moses (Aniyikaye), stated that the visitation was aimed at carrying every youth along and fostering familiarity between the groups.
He emphasized that the council’s objective is to promote unity and active engagement of youths in the governance of Irepodun Local Government.
Comrade Aniyikaye specifically appreciated Hon. Sheun for his efforts in making the meeting a reality.
On their part, members of the Arandun Youth Forum welcomed the IYC delegation. Mr. Ibrahim Wasiu, a member of the forum, expressed his belief that the visit would foster greater unity among the youth of Irepodun.
Another member, Mr. Bisi Olaseyinde, urged the IYC to remain focused on its core mission and not allow any political movements to distract them.
Speaking on behalf of the Arandun Youth Forum, HONORABLE SEUN SEGUN ATOLAGBE confessed that he initially thought the visit was politically motivated until he heard the IYC president’s clear statement of their aims and objectives.
He then assured the IYC of the forum’s full support and promised that they would actively participate in all the council’s programs. He concluded by praying for the unity and development of all youths in Irepodun.
