The Sarkin Gobir and Madawaki of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has joined family, friends, associates, and the media community in celebrating veteran journalist, Dr. Ishaq Modibbo Kawu, on his 65th birthday anniversary, marked on September 5, 2025.
In his goodwill message, Alhaji Gobir commended Dr. Kawu who is also an in-law to the Gobirawa for his unwavering contributions to nation-building, his reflections on governance, and his consistent advocacy for collective progress.
“Dr. Modibbo Kawu has shown uncommon dedication to the growth of our country through his writings, mentorship, and advocacy. His voice has remained a compass for good governance and a better society,” the Serkin Gobir said.
He further lauded Dr. Kawu’s passion for mentoring the younger generation, stressing that his impact on journalism and public discourse continues to shape minds across Nigeria.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to bless him with long life, good health, and enduring happiness,” Alhaji Gobir added.
