Dr Aminat El-imam

The Kwara State Government through the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, has approved and announced the immediate relocation of the 2025 Medical and Surgical Outreach Programme for Ifelodun Local Government Area.

The outreach will now be held at the Cottage Hospital in Omupo on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, instead of the originally designated Specialist Hospital in Oke-Ode.

In a statement signed on Sunday by the Ministry of Health’s Press Secretary, Hamdalat Saad and made available to 9japarrot media, Dr. El-Imam explained that the decision was based on a review of security concerns in parts of the state.

The move to the Omupo Cottage Hospital is also intended to ensure wider accessibility and improved service delivery for communities within the local government area.

The programme is a key part of the government’s sustained efforts to deliver quality healthcare across the state, offering free medical consultations, surgical procedures, and other essential healthcare services.

Dr. El-Imam urged residents of Ifelodun LGA and neighboring communities to take advantage of the free services, reiterating the government’s commitment to safeguarding and prioritizing the health of its citizens.
