The leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the umbrella body for over 40.1 million Nigerian students schooling at home and diaspora continues her campus tour in South West starting with higher institutions in Lagos State.
Comrade Olushola Oladoja NANS President leadership with other National Executive council of the apex Nigerian students has embarked on the visitation of tertiary institutions in the country for need assessment and welfare of her members.
On Tuesday the National Executive council visited Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola at his Lagos office, a philanthropist who has invested sumptuously in scholarship of students and Empowerment in Nigeria.
The NANS President described Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola as a worthy leader who lives an exemplary life with an indelible footprint that will ever be celebrated in the anals of Nigerian students struggle.
“We have watched you investing in the educational sector, mentoring young people across the country and today we are here to identify with you as well solidify relationship with you by conferring this National Honour which makes you officially our Life Patron and father” said Oladoja.
Engr. Sunday Adebayo Babalola in his response commended the leadership of NANS for championing various struggles for the betterment of her members schooling across the country.
He appreciate the honour saying his gesture of over a decade was noticed and commended by the apex student body in the country, saying it speaks volume about the diligence of and capacity of the organization.
“I will continue to support the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), this is an impetus for me to do more and this I will do as God grant me the grace to give back to the society” he concluded.
