
A political support group, the Òdó Lokan Ambassadors, has announced plans to hold a massive youth mobilisation event, the “Day of Champions,” in January 2026, to rally support for the 2027 Federal House of Representatives aspiration of Amofin Titilope Akogun.
9japarrot reports that Akogun is seeking to represent the Irepodun, Oke Ero, Ekiti, and Isin Federal Constituency at the National Assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The “Day of Champions” will feature a “Marathon 1000 Youth Soldiers March” across the four local government areas.
In a statement signed by Sogbodile Abiodun, Coordinator of the Òdó Lokan Ambassadors and made available to 9japarrot media, the group described the march as a clarion call for the inevitable and rightful candidacy of Amofin Akogun.
The Ambassadors claimed that the youth of the region have been marginalized and silenced, and presented Akogun as a courageous and visionary leader raised to champion generational renewal.
The group highlighted Akogun’s commitment to youth and community development, noting that he is a rare young, bold, and passionate son of the soil taking up the mantle of representation.
The statement pointed to his past activities, including; Championing youth empowerment and community development through the BTA Foundation, serving as the Pioneer President of the Kwara South Youth Development Organization (KWAYORG), where he was a strong voice for youth advancement across the region.
The Òdó Lokan Ambassadors expressed confidence in his victory, affirming their resolute support as they began a historic mobilization drive within the PDP.
Further details regarding the January 2026 march are expected to be communicated in the coming days, with ward coordinators set to be appointed to ensure massive participation and smooth execution.
