The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Major General Abdullah Mohammed Adangba (Rtd), describing it as a monumental loss to Kwara State and the nation at large.
In a condolence message obtained by 9japarrot media on Wednesday, Senator Umar described the late General as an elder statesman, a selfless leader, and a devoted patriot who served Nigeria with exceptional diligence and professionalism.
He recalled Major General Adangba’s remarkable service as Chief of Staff to former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, noting that his leadership and counsel contributed immensely to policies that strengthened Nigeria’s unity and governance.
Senator Sadiq stated that the loss is profoundly felt across the nation, and particularly within the Ilorin Emirate Council, adding that the late General’s remarkable contributions to human capital development and national service will remain unforgettable.
He prayed that Almighty Allah grants his soul eternal rest in Aljanat Firdaus and extended heartfelt condolences to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Mai Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, the bereaved family, the Ilorin Emirate Council, and the entire nation.
