Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, where armed bandits stormed the church, leaving the community distressed and shaken.

Engr. Adeyemi described the incident as “cruel, unacceptable, and an affront to the peace-loving people of Eruku and Kwara State at large.” He expressed deep sympathy to the families affected, the leadership and members of CAC, and the entire Eruku community over the traumatic invasion.

“This attack is a painful reminder of the evolving security threats confronting our communities. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this condemnable act. I stand in solidarity with the people of Eruku during this difficult time,” he said.

Engr. Adeyemi commended the proactive steps of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who immediately requested additional security deployment to Ekiti Local Government Area to contain and prevent further incidents. He noted that the Governor’s swift response reflects his unwavering commitment to public safety and peace across the state.

He also acknowledged and appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deploying 900 additional troops to strengthen security in Kwara State, describing the intervention as timely and reassuring.

“This federal support, combined with the Governor’s decisive actions, will go a long way in restoring confidence and calm in areas previously troubled by criminal attacks. We must continue to reinforce these efforts to ensure that such tragedies do not recur,” Engr. Adeyemi added.

He urged security agencies to intensify surveillance, maintain sustained presence in the Eruku axis, and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Engr. Adeyemi reaffirmed his commitment to the peace, safety, and continued development of communities across Kwara South and beyond.
