NACCIMA Council Approves Establishment of Foundation to Coordinate CSR Activities

A proposal to establish the NACCIMA Foundation has received the nod of the Council at its 2025 fourth quarter meeting.

The NACCIMA Foundation will coordinate the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes of the association, including the recently announced 1 billion tree planting campaign aimed at strengthening climate resilience and promoting regenerative agriculture.

The council similarly approved many other key initiatives, strengthening NACCIMA’s leadership as the voice of the organised private sector in Nigeria.

NACCIMA is an acronym for the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.

The council meeting held at the Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) Trade and Convention Centre, Abuja, on Thursday, November 27, 2025, as part of a line up of activities for the 2025 4th Quarter Executive and Council Meeting.

The 3-day event, which commenced on Tuesday, November 25, brought together policy makers, business leaders, chamber executives, and industry specialists. It featured different programmes and presentations to enhance institutional partnerships and advance business climate reforms.

Some of them include a Public-Private Dialogue (PPD), launch of the 2025 Business Climate Survey, sectoral facility tours, signing of strategic MOUs with ICAN and IOEM, policy briefings from key government institutions, among others.

Acknowledging the progress on the NACCIMA Global Initiative, which is being implemented in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and NiDCOM, the Council directed the Trade Fair Committee to facilitate Nigeria’s participation in major global exhibitions, including securing a national pavilion at the Canton Fair — China’s oldest and largest trade exhibition.

The Council also reaffirmed its support for the NACCIMA Youth Enterprise (NYE) and the Women Chamber (WCCIMA) as part of strategies to advance entrepreneurship and leadership development in the Nigeria’s business space.

The development of NACCIMA Convention and Event Centre in Abuja also came up for discussion at the council meeting, with members appreciating the progress in consultation with government officials so far. The mega project will be a prominent organ of the NACCIMA Village.
