In his welcoming address, Dr. Alabaja, who also holds the title of Gbadero of Odo-Owa Kingdom, apologized that such a gathering was held later than intended due to technical issues. He stressed that the foundation of the project is built upon three core principles: transparency, stakeholders’ inclusiveness, and attaining economic development in Kwara South.
“The foundation of this project is based on 3 things which are transparency, stakeholders inclusiveness where he highlighted that for a representative to be successful there is a dire need to fully involves stakeholders most importantly those who made it possible to attain the position.

He further explained that constituents have the rights to recall any representative who’s not prioritising stakeholders inclusivity, noting that one of the ideas behind the event was to create a personal avenue to meet those who have been consistently promoting his name without having met him before.
“I’m promising you here today if I emerge as senator, our own administration will be different. You’re the one sending us to Abuja and if Nigeria is a better country you should have the opportunity to send us back to our home if we’re not performing well, but since that can’t happen our administration will be quite different, He said.
He added that the end of the year food package is just the beginning because he have been doing similar things since many years back but because he chooses not to spread it out people don’t know, adding that henceforth for this kind of relief package to the people will be more expanded so peoples across Kwara South will all benefit.
The APC aspirant expressed strong optimism about his chances in the upcoming elections, noting the massive turnout was evidence of grassroots support.
Speaking also, Chief Ezekiel Gbadeyan, former Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, gave his remarks by drawing a parallel to the presidential election.
“Our President said emilokan and fortunately he later became president of Federal republic of Nigeria. So now we here in igbomina too as said it we’re the next person to have the sit of senator in Kwara South at igbomina senatorial district, let put hand together to support who knows our values and did this kind of end of year package for us he will serve us to our fullest part.”
