•• Urges Celebration of festivities in love and care for one another
The Senator representing Kwara North Senatorial District, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar, has commenced the distribution of 2,500 bags of rice to constituents across the 5 LGAs to support them during the yuletide celebration.
The initiative which is an annual program for his Constituency is aimed at easing the burden on families and ensuring that constituents are able to celebrate the festive season with joy, dignity, and a sense of inclusion, in line with the spirit of Christmas and New Year which emphasizes love, sharing, and compassion.
The distribution exercise is currently ongoing across the five Local Government Areas of Kwara North, namely Baruten, Edu, Kaiama, Moro, and Patigi, with beneficiaries cutting across wards, communities, and vulnerable groups.
Speaking on the initiative, Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of the people of Kwara North, noting that the season presents an opportunity to give back and stand in solidarity with constituents, especially amid prevailing economic challenges.
He also urged beneficiaries to use the occasion to pray for sustained peace, unity, and development in Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
Community leaders and beneficiaries across the LGAs have expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely, thoughtful, and reflective of the Senator’s people-centered leadership.
