••• Promises Full University Tuition for Top Scorers

The BTA President and PDP House of Representatives aspirant for Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin, Oke Ero Federal Constituency, Amofin Joseph Titilope Akogun on Sunday officially declared open the distribution of 500 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for eligible students during a Facebook Live session.

He announced the commencement of Igi Iwe (Education Tree) 2026, an educational support initiative aimed at promoting youth empowerment and expanding access to tertiary education.

Speaking during the announcement, Amofin Akogun stated that the initiative is designed to reduce the financial burden on students from low-income backgrounds and ensure wider access to higher education opportunities.

He urged prospective applicants to make informed choices when selecting courses of study, advising them to prioritize job-friendly and skill-based courses that align with current labour market demands, entrepreneurship opportunities, and global competitiveness.

According to him, education should go beyond the acquisition of certificates and focus on practical knowledge and skills that promote employability, self-reliance, and long-term career sustainability.

Amofin Akogun disclosed that the free JAMB forms would be distributed strictly to qualified applicants, in accordance with guidelines to be communicated by the organizing committee. He added that applications would be conducted online and would also be accessible at six designated locations: Ajasse Ipo, Oro, Omu-Aran, Osi, Iloffa, and Oke-Onigbin.

He further reiterated the commitment of the BTA Foundation to sponsor full university tuition for any Igi Iwe beneficiary who scores 300 and above in the UTME, noting that the promise was successfully fulfilled during the 2025 edition of the programme.

Amofin Akogun reaffirmed his dedication to education, youth development, and human capital growth, emphasizing that investing in young people remains one of the most effective ways to secure a prosperous future for society.

He also used the opportunity to congratulate students in Kwara South on their return to school, following the State Government’s announcement on Sunday.
