Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home Announces New Empowerment Programme for 970 Nigerians

Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home (ASPH) has announced that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) will sponsor 970 vulnerable Nigerians in Abuja and Kwara State under the Transformative Skills and Livelihood Empowerment Program for Less Privileged Nigerians.

Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home (ASPH), in partnership with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has announced plans to empower 970 vulnerable Nigerians under its Transformative Skills and Livelihood Empowerment Program for Less Privileged Nigerians in Abuja and Kwara State.

The President of ASPH, Mallam Abdulrazzaq Ibrahim Salman, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday.

According to Mallam Abdulrazzaq, the program will specifically target internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, widows, unemployed youth, and individuals living below the poverty line in communities across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Kwara State.

He explained that the initiative is designed to equip participants with practical vocational skills and entrepreneurial knowledge to foster sustainable economic independence. Beneficiaries will receive hands-on training in high-demand, income-generating fields such as tailoring and garment production, catering and food processing, ICT and digital literacy, photography, and other locally relevant trades. Upon completion, participants will be provided with starter kits, tools, and operational support to enable them to launch their own income-generating activities immediately.

Mallam Abdulrazzaq emphasized that this intervention focuses on long-term empowerment rather than short-term assistance. “By providing practical skills and business support, the program aims to restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and reduce economic vulnerability among displaced and disadvantaged populations in Abuja and Kwara State,” he said.

He added that the project will be implemented by Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home in collaboration with relevant federal and Kwara State authorities to ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness in the nomination and verification of beneficiaries. Special consideration will be given to individuals and households facing severe economic hardship and displacement.

The leadership of Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home expressed appreciation to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for its continued humanitarian commitment to Nigeria, noting that the initiative represents a major contribution to poverty reduction, youth empowerment, and economic development in the targeted areas.

Implementation activities are expected to commence following the completion of beneficiary nomination and verification processes in Abuja and Kwara State, with monitoring and follow-up mechanisms established to ensure sustainable outcomes.
