Good Friday: Prof. Wale Sulaiman Urges Christians to Pray for Nigeria’s Prosperity

APC Kwara State Governorship Aspirant and chieftain, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, CON, has called on the global Christian community to offer prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and prosperity as Christians across the world commemorate Good Friday.

In a statement released to mark the solemn occasion and made available to 9japarrot on Friday, Prof. Sulaiman joined millions of Christians worldwide and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in reflecting on the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary.

He described Good Friday as a sacred day of fasting, reflection, and sorrow that reminds humanity of the supreme sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind and the promotion of love, unity, and compassion among people.

According to Prof. Sulaiman, the lessons of Good Friday should inspire Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, righteousness, sacrifice, and unity, which remain the pillars of peaceful coexistence and national progress.

The people-oriented governorship aspirant emphasized that Nigeria’s greatest strength lies in its unity despite its rich diversity of cultures, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds.

He therefore urged Christians to use the spiritual significance of the day to pray for divine intervention in Nigeria’s affairs, asking God to grant the nation enduring peace, wisdom for its leaders, and prosperity for its citizens.

Prof. Sulaiman further encouraged Nigerians of all faiths to promote mutual respect, tolerance, and solidarity as the country continues its journey toward sustainable development and national cohesion.

End.
