Yèyéluà’s Competency-Based Awareness Campaign: Day 3

DAY 3: GOVERNANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE:
Effective representation is rooted in practical governance experience. As the major Aspirant for Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Federal constituency House of Representatives, with core, practical, and direct governance experience, Hon. Olasumbo Florence Oyeyemi is not new to leadership. She has operated at the highest levels of state administration, where decisions directly impact lives and livelihoods. Her experience further extends to shaping policies and developing a strategic blueprint at the national level.
As Commissioner for Finance and Planning in Kwara State, she played a central role in budget formulation and implementation, fiscal policy development, and financial management. These roles required a deep understanding of government structures, accountability systems, and inter-agency coordination.
As commissioner for Finance, she led the Conceptualisation, initiation, delivery and utilisation of a functional, real-time, online State Treasury Single Account (TSA); championed the World Bank-assisted States’ Fiscal, Transparency and Accountability Sustainability Program; and increased citizens’ engagement and participation in the State budget preparation.
Her other official duty achievements include the implementation of the e-procurement management system, the automation of consolidated internally generated revenue sources at the state and local government levels, and chairing the state’s successful negotiation of the minimum wage. Her experience in overseeing public resources, implementing reforms, and ensuring fiscal discipline reflects a leader who understands governance beyond theory.
Yèyéluà knows how government works, and more importantly, how to make it work effectively for the people. She is tested in governance, Proven in administration and trusted in impact.
