The lawmaker representing Owode/Onire Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Rukayat Shittu, has declared that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq remains the only political leader in Kwara State, urging party members to remain loyal and united behind his leadership.
Rukayat made the declaration during a political engagement in Alapa, where she addressed party faithful, supporters, and grassroots stakeholders amid ongoing political consultations across the state.
“There is only one leader in Kwara State and that is Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq,” the lawmaker declared emphatically.
She described the governor as the central pillar of the Otoge political movement and the symbol of the progressive transformation currently being witnessed across the state.
According to her, the stability, unity, and growing influence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara are largely tied to the governor’s leadership, political maturity, and inclusive style of governance.
Rukayat also commended Governor AbdulRazaq for creating opportunities for young people and women in governance, noting that his administration has redefined political participation and opened the door for a new generation of leaders in the state.
She urged party members to avoid actions capable of creating division within the ruling party and instead remain focused on protecting and advancing the achievements of the present administration.
Political observers at the gathering described her remarks as a strong public reaffirmation of loyalty to the governor at a time political alignments and consultations ahead of 2027 are gradually intensifying across Kwara State.
