A leading aspirant in the ongoing All Progressives Congress primary election for the Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency seat, Hon. Akintade AbdulMutalib Shittu, has commended party members and stakeholders for the smooth, peaceful, and orderly conduct of the exercise across the constituency.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Shittu described the process as peaceful and encouraging, noting that the maturity displayed by members, party leaders, supporters reflected the unity and democratic strength of the APC within the constituency.
He expressed appreciation to party executives, security personnel, members, youths, women groups, and supporters for maintaining calm and ensuring that the exercise was conducted without disruption or violence.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere recorded throughout the process further demonstrated the commitment of party members to internal democracy, mutual respect, and the collective progress of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akintade also thanked his supporters for their overwhelming encouragement, solidarity, and confidence in his aspiration, adding that he was highly encouraged by the turnout and level of participation recorded during the primary election.
While awaiting the official announcement of the party, the aspirant urged all party members and supporters to remain peaceful, united, and committed to the ideals of the APC, stressing that the interest of the party and the constituency must remain the priority for everyone involved.
