Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a prominent progressive political group, the Kwara Alliance for Collective Transformation (KWACT) has called on all aspirants vying for elective positions on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to strictly submit to the principle of party supremacy.
The group made the call during a press conference on Saturday in Ilorin, the state capital, where it outlined critical guidelines for internal cohesion as political activities intensify across the state.
In a statement read by its leadership led by Comrade Ayinde Dhikurullah, the grassroots-driven movement emphasized that the stability of the ruling party depends on the discipline of its members. It urged all political actors to conduct their campaigns with decorum and strictly abide by the provisions of the APC constitution and primary guidelines.
The group stressed that personal ambitions must not override the collective interests of the party, reminding aspirants that legislative and executive slots are limited.

“It is important for all aspirants to understand that elective positions are limited, and not everyone can emerge as candidates,” KWACT stated.
“Therefore, we stress that once a candidate emerges, all must unite behind that individual in the spirit of sportsmanship and party loyalty.” They added.
KWACT proudly acknowledged the foundational governance structures laid by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON whom it described as the champion of the historic Otoge movement. The group noted that his administration’s focus on infrastructure and people-oriented policies has placed Kwara on a sustainable path to growth.
Furthermore, the alliance reaffirmed its total commitment to the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and Vice President Kashim Shettima, stating that Kwara must deliver an overwhelming grassroots mobilization to consolidate federal progress.
To maintain absolute internal democracy, KWACT appealed to party elders, stakeholders, and executives to ensure absolute fairness, equity, and transparency during the primary elections.
The group maintained that a free and credible internal voting system is the most viable strategy to produce highly electable candidates across the state’s governorship seat, three senatorial positions, six House of Representatives slots, and 24 House of Assembly seats.
“We must leave no room for opposition forces to destabilize our progress,” the statement concluded, adding that APC is Kwara, and Kwara is APC. Together, through unity, discipline, and strategic action, they shall achieve total victory across all elective positions.
