JAMB Opens Printing of 2026 UTME Original Result Slips for Admission Processing

By Monsurat Abisoye

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates can now print their 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) original result slips.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the examination body disclosed that the result slips became available for printing within two hours of the announcement.

According to JAMB, the original result slip contains candidates’ photographs, national rankings, and other security features required for post-UTME screening and admission processes in tertiary institutions.

Candidates can print the document from any internet-enabled device, including personal computers, mobile devices, and accredited business centres. JAMB advised candidates to carefully verify their details after printing and keep copies for future admission-related purposes.

The development follows the completion of the 2026 UTME exercise, which was conducted in April, and a mop-up examination held on 13 June for candidates affected by technical and biometric challenges during the main examination. Results of the mop-up exercise were released on 16 June.

JAMB explained that the release of the original result slips was delayed to allow for the completion of foreign-based examinations and the mop-up exercise, having earlier appealed for patience on 19 May.

The availability of the slips is expected to enable candidates to proceed with applications for the 2026/2027 admission cycle, as many tertiary institutions have either commenced or are preparing to begin their post-UTME registration processes.
