Stakeholders across Nigeria’s education sector have renewed calls for the widespread adoption of digital technologies in teaching, examination preparation, and institutional administration during the ExamPrep & School Management System Symposium held in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The symposium, hosted jointly by Icitify Solutions Limited and Keuntech at the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Secretariat in Tanke, Ilorin, brought together school owners, principals, administrators, ICT coordinators, and government representatives to address operational inefficiencies through technology.
Delivering the welcome address, the Founder of Icitify Solutions Ltd, Mr. A. AbdulAzeez, emphasized that the initiative extends beyond software deployment to shaping the future of education in Kwara State and across Nigeria.
The event featured detailed presentations on two flagship digital platforms designed for primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions: ExamPrep, a computer-based test (CBT) and learning application offering students access to over 50,000 past questions and mock examinations for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, and Post-UTME, featuring an AI-powered tutor to guide learners through complex subjects while providing real-time academic progress reports for parents; and the School Management System, detailed by Guest Speaker Dr. Suleiman Abimbola Yahya, former Head of Department for Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ilorin, which centralizes admissions, fee collection, attendance tracking, student records, and staff administration to eliminate fragmented paper-based processes through tools like Microsoft Word and Excel mailings.
Representing Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, government officials commended the organizers for aligning with the state’s digital transformation agenda.
Highlighting the potential of technology to drive educational inclusion and youth empowerment, the organizers showcased ongoing partnerships, including the U-Inspired Program for final-year students at the University of Ilorin under the Icitify Digital Skill Empowerment Foundation (IDSEF).
The symposium also recognized young Kwara talents participating in international spelling bee competitions, underscoring the organization’s broader mission to bridge technological innovation with academic excellence and build a sustainable digital economy.
