The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates sitting for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to verify and upload their O’Level results from home.
The new system currently covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), eliminating the need for candidates to repeatedly visit Computer Based Test (CBT) centres to complete the process.
Under the new arrangement, candidates can use JAMB’s e-Facility platform to verify their results after obtaining a verification code. JAMB will then authenticate the result directly with the relevant examination body before uploading it to the candidate’s profile.
Candidates can also complete the verification process via SMS by sending “VERIFY” followed by the verification code to 55019 or 66019.
According to JAMB, the technology driven initiative is designed to make its services faster, safer and more convenient, particularly during periods of high demand.
The Board added that the system would help reduce long queues at CBT centres, minimise errors associated with manual data entry and address challenges caused by network failures at examination centres.
