As the 2027 general elections gather momentum across the country, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), on Saturday, announced it has candidates ready for governorship elections in all 28 states scheduled for the forthcoming polls.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, made this disclosure while addressing recent reports claiming that the NDC lacks candidates in 12 states.
Describing such claims as false and malicious, the party said these reports were part of deliberate propaganda aimed at misleading Nigerians and damaging the party’s growing momentum nationwide.
This is as the party said the NDC maintained a strong presence across Nigeria, asserting it is fully organised and active in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Director urged media outlets and content creators to verify their sources before publishing, emphasising that journalism relies on truth rather than rumours.
He reaffirmed the party’s dedication to issue-based politics, dismissing falsehoods as distractions.
“Nigerians are tired of the old order and recycled failures. The NDC is the preferred party to lead Nigeria’s rescue and rebuilding in 2027, with credible candidates, a clear manifesto, and commitments to security, jobs, and accountability.”
Finally, Director called on Nigerians to join the movement, declaring, “The rescue mission has started.”
