The PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has announced changes to its leadership structure, appointing new directors for stage management, youth mobilisation and women mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Imo State Governor and council secretary, Hope Uzodimma, announced the appointments in a statement on Monday, explaining that the changes were aimed at improving coordination, strengthening the council’s organisational structure and enhancing operational efficiency.
Under the new arrangement, Farouk Aliyu was appointed director of the Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management, with Adejare Bello named co-director.
The council also appointed Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, as director of youth mobilisation, while Dayo Israel will serve as deputy director.
For women mobilisation, Mary Aille Idele was named director, with Betta Edu appointed deputy director and Imaan Suleman as secretary.
Uzodimma said the appointments were part of efforts to build a coordinated and inclusive campaign structure to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
He charged the appointees to bring their experience and organisational capabilities to bear on their respective assignments and work with other directorates to implement the council’s campaign and mobilisation plans.
The restructuring comes as the ruling All Progressives Congress intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election, with youth and women mobilisation forming key elements of its campaign strategy.
The latest appointments are expected to strengthen the council’s coordination of campaign activities and engagement with different segments of the electorate ahead of the polls.
