2027: Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu Over Hardship, Says Aides Could Hurt Re-election Chances

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has criticised the Federal Government over the level of hardship in Nigeria, saying many citizens are struggling with rising living costs and insecurity.

Ayodele made the remarks in a video statement circulating on Sunday, where he expressed concern about the state of the country under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“Everything is not going well in Nigeria under this government. Nigerians are in serious pain,” the cleric said.

He cited rising school fees, increasing market prices, persistent insecurity and economic hardship as some of the challenges confronting Nigerians.

Describing the situation as tense, Ayodele warned that public anger could become a concern for political parties as campaigns ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

He also cautioned that supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) could face attacks in areas where the party is unpopular, attributing the risk to growing public dissatisfaction.

Addressing Tinubu directly, the cleric warned that individuals surrounding the President could undermine his chances of securing re-election in 2027, alleging that some of his aides were not giving him honest feedback.

“Those surrounding you will ruin your chances in the presidential election. They are not telling you the truth,” he said.

Ayodele also urged the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Joash Amupitan, to maintain his integrity and credibility throughout the 2027 electoral process.

The cleric had previously made predictions about Tinubu’s electoral prospects in the northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

His latest remarks come as political parties and their supporters prepare for the 2027 general elections, amid continuing public debate over economic conditions, security and governance.

The statements and electoral predictions remain Ayodele’s views and have not, in themselves, established how the 2027 elections will unfold.
