Suspected Kidnappers Abduct Six in Kaduna Estate Attack

Suspected kidnappers have abducted six persons during an early morning attack on Nuru Suraj Estate in the Millennium City area of Kaduna metropolis.

The attack reportedly occurred on Tuesday, when the assailants invaded the estate, firing gunshots sporadically and throwing residents into panic.

Sources in the area said the attackers gained access to the estate through its second gate before abducting the victims and taking them to an unknown destination.

A resident, identified as Maman Hamid, said her house was close to those of the victims, adding that the attackers’ gunshots caused widespread fear among residents.

She said the assailants exploited the estate’s second entrance to carry out the abduction.

As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the victims and whether their families had received contact from the abductors remained unknown.

Efforts to obtain a reaction from the Kaduna State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the command had yet to comment on the incident.

The latest attack has heightened security concerns among residents of Millennium City, which has reportedly witnessed similar incidents in recent weeks.

A few weeks earlier, suspected kidnappers were said to have invaded another part of the area and abducted several persons, raising concerns over the recurrence of kidnapping incidents in the community.
