The security of lives and property must remain a major priority in Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency. Our people deserve to sleep peacefully, travel safely and go about their daily activities without the fear of kidnapping or other security threats.
I believe no community should be left to face insecurity alone. Our farmers must be able to access their farmlands without fear, our children must attend school in a safe environment, and families should not have to live in constant anxiety over the safety of their loved ones.
If elected to represent our constituency in the House of Representatives, I will give the security challenges facing our communities the attention they deserve. I will use my position to raise motions, pursue relevant legislative interventions and engage federal security agencies to ensure that the concerns of our people receive the necessary attention.
I will also advocate increased security presence in vulnerable communities, better coordination among security agencies and stronger collaboration with traditional rulers, community leaders and recognised community security structures. Regular consultations with stakeholders will also be important in identifying emerging threats and finding practical ways to address them.
I understand that the responsibility for security is shared across different levels of government. However, that should not stop an elected representative from speaking up, demanding action and following up on issues affecting the safety of the people.
Our constituency cannot make meaningful progress when farmers are afraid to visit their farms, traders are worried about travelling and families are uncertain about their safety. Development requires peace, and our people deserve both.
My commitment is to ensure that the voices of our communities are heard, their security concerns are taken seriously and relevant authorities are constantly reminded of their responsibility to protect lives and property.
Effective representation must go beyond political promises. It must involve standing with the people, speaking for them and pursuing practical solutions to the challenges they face.
Our people deserve peace. Our communities deserve protection. No part of our constituency should be left behind.
