Senator Oyelola Ashiru, during his 2019 election campaign, visited all wards in the Kwara South Senatorial district to seek support.
As a forward-thinking leader, he took the opportunity to assess the needs of each community, ward, and local government in order to address their challenges through legislation and community interventions.
Senator Oyelola Ashiru has since been implementing projects and programs that have had a positive impact on seven local government areas in Kwara South.
Oyun local government, in particular, has experienced significant development due to Ashiru’s effective representation in the Senate.
The efforts made by Senator Ashiru and the people of Kwara South in 2019 are now bearing fruit in terms of democratic gains.
Visible projects can be seen across the wards in Oyun local government area, and constituents have directly or indirectly benefited from economic and sustainable empowerment initiatives.
These projects include;

While the achievements of the Distinguished Senator Arc. Lola Ashiru in Oyun LGA as enumerated in this publication are appealing and commendable. I want to draw the attention of the Distinguished Senator (through this medium) to the fact that, the block of 2 classrooms mentioned in Igbonna was not(and is yet to be) completed in GDSS Igbonna (as may be reported to him by his aids)
Several correspondences and representations from Igbonna Community had been sent to the Distinguished Senator on this issue but no positive response had been forthcoming.
It will therefore be a disservice to Igbonna Community to count the project as one of his achievements in Oyun Local Government Area.
Note: This is not to discredit the achievements of the Distinguished Senator, but to draw his attention to the uncomplicated project in the GDSS Igbonna.

*Building a block of Classroom in Igbonna*
As one of the members of Igbonna Descendants Union, I put the record straight. The said block of Classroom in Igbonna was only started but not completed since 2019 despite all appeals to him. We wrote to seek his sympathy for a respite/assistance during the rainstorm disaster in April, this year (2024), all to no avail. Only the Kwara State Government, the two Honorable Members from Oke-Ogun ( Deputy Speaker) and the Member from Odo-Ogun and a few individuals came to our rescue. Our Senator didn’t visit or assist. So it will be unfair to include Igbonna in the list of the beneficiaries of his achievements. Thanks
