Kwara Rep, Ajuloopin Launches Tech Summit, To Empower 400 Young People [APPLY HERE]



The member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of Kwara, Rt. Hon. Tunji Olawuyi, popularly known as Ajuloopin, has announced a plan to take 300 youths in the constituency and 100 from outside his constituency into a tech journey via Ajuloopin Tech Summit.

A statement made available to our medium through the SSA Media and Strategic Communications to Rt.Hon.Tunji Olawuyi Ajuloopin, Mr. Olayinka Owolewa confirmed this development.


The Special Assistant to the chairman House Committee on Humanitarian Afairs, IDPs, Migrants and Refugees on Information and Communication Technology (SA ICT), Taye David Maxwell, announced this in Omu-Aran while speaking with the newsmen.


According to him, no fewer than 300 constituents and 100 from Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Local government areas of Kwara would gain insights from experienced tech professionals who will educate, mentor, and guide attendees of all ages.


Maxwell revealed further that the Federal Lawmaker wants to prepare for the digital era for the youth by understanding and utilising the latest digital tools and platforms.


He also disclosed that the Tech Summit is a preparatory event ahead of the Ajuloopin Digital Empowerment Program (ADEP 2024).


The Lawmaker’s SA on ICT explained that the attendees would receive valuable insights that will set the stage for a successful digital community and contribute to the shaping of ADEP 2024 by providing data on specific tech skills of interest.


Maxwell said the youth will embrace digital revolution in Kwara South by learning from regional experts and contribute to creating a tech-savvy community focused on localising technology solutions.


He said registration has since opened on Sat. Nov. 18 for one week.


The summit according to him with a theme: TechFrontiers: Igniting innovation in Kwara South is expected to take place on Friday, Dec. 1 at the Omu-Aran City Complex, beginning from 9am.
