In a momentous occasion, Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala have not only etched their names in African football history but have also united the nation in celebration as they clinched the prestigious African Players of the Year titles in their respective categories. Governor AbdulRazaq expressed pride in witnessing Nigerians return simultaneously as the best players after a remarkable 24-year gap.
The accolades didn’t stop there, as the Governor extended hearty congratulations to Nnadozie Chiamaka for her stellar performance, earning her the Goalkeeper of the Year award in the female category. Additionally, the Super Falcons, the pride of Nigerian women’s football, secured the National Team of the Year award, further solidifying Nigeria’s dominance in continental football.
Amidst the jubilation, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the excitement surrounding these achievements, acknowledging that they have once again firmly placed Nigeria on the continental map of football.
