… fête Otte Othman On Successful Tenure
The Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha has congratulated retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, on his emergence as the new National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the sociocultural organisation of the people of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning from his media office in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, Mustapha said he woke up to the news of the emergence of the retired ACG Ayo-Malik and other executive members that also emerged at the end of the 58th Annual National Conference of the union, which was held in Afon, the headquarters of Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Senator Mustapha, who is the Turaki of the Ilorin Emirate, noted that the victories of the new officers of the union confirmed the huge trust reposed in them by the Union’s delegates in piloting the affairs of the body to greater heights for the next two years.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Agricultural Production Services and Rural Development therefore urged the newly elected team to accept their emergence as a rare opportunity to upscale the development of the Ilorin Emirate in line with the aspirations of her founding fathers.
He expressed the conviction that the new IEDPU helmsman, Alhaji Ayo Abdul-Malik would use his outstanding track records in the public service to deliver satisfactorily on the mandate reposed in him to lead the union for the next two years.
Senator Mustapha also assured the Ayo Abdulmalik-led team of his unalloyed support for the success of their tenure as he did for their predecessors both in his private and public capacities.
In the same vein, Senator Saliu Mustapha has equally congratulated the immediate past Executives Committee of the IEDPU led by Alhaji Uthman Ottah, a retired Director of the Department of State Services for a successful tenure and wish them well in their future endeavours.
