The Chairman of Awliya Foundation and Gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal, has initiated a cash transfer scheme to ease the current financial burden on Muslims during the Ramadan fasting.
The cash transfer scheme cut across the three (3) senatorial districts in Kwara state, with different groups, individuals, Muslim clerics, members of the creative community, political supporters, among others benefitting from the generosity of Lawal.
The first phase which began on Tuesday, the 5th of March has been concluded, with hundreds receiving their support both in cash and bank transfers.
The second phase has since begun with many others still benefiting from the scheme. This development has been confirmed from by many as they continue to receive bank alerts.
The SDP Gubernatorial candidate has also made preparations for daily Iftar at Alabi Alasa centre, Idi Ape.
