The Deputy Senate Leader and Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district has congratulated Christians for the successful completion of the Lent period and the Easter celebration.
This was contained in a press release by the Senator on Sunday, urging Christians faithful to use the occasion to reflect on the lessons of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
While charging them to embrace the life of service, compassion, and sacrifice exemplified by Christ as they commemorate the Easter festivities.
He stated that the year has united the holy occasions of two major Abrahamic faiths, with Christians remembering the sacrificial crucifixion of Christ and Muslims observing the sacred month of Ramadan.
The Deputy Senate Leader added that the coincidence reminds us that we Nigerians may be of different religions, yet we are of one family and we serve but only one God.
He urged the people of Kwara South and all Nigerians to back the President in the #RenewedHope journey, advising them to be patient and pray for the nation’s peace throughout and after the festivities.
