Drainage: Isalekoko Dumo Community Lauds Kwara Gov’ Efforts To Avert Asa River Erosion, Urges For More Intervention

The people of Isalekoko Dumo community of Ojagboro ilorin Kwara state expressed their sincere gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his efforts to resolve the problem of clogged drainage in their community.

Residents of the area were especially worried about the possible erosion risk presented by the clogged drainage system in Asa river, which has long been an issue in the area, especially during the rainy season.

The community’s chairman, Mr. Abdullateef Adebisi, stated that although the community has taken significant action on its own to stop erosion in advance of the impending rainy season, financial limitations have prevented a further step to finish the gutters.

He begged the workaholic governor to visit the community organization and provide more support for the projects in order to reduce property loss during the rainy season due to excessive precipitation.

The residents of the community are aware of the government’s attempts to address the drainage problems around ASA river, and they expect that their requests for additional assistance will be taken into consideration. They think Isalekoko Dumo may prosper and turn into a model community in Ilorin Kwara state if they work together and receive continuous support from the government.
