Painful Loss Of a Brother: Prof. Wale Sulaiman Mourns Senator Rafiu Ibrahim

The CEO/CMD of RNZ Global Limited and President of RNZ Foundation mourns the sudden death of his friend and fellow progressive, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim.

Prof. Wale Sulaiman, condole with Mrs Ibrahim, their children, family members of the deceased, HRH. Olojoku of Ojoku, the people of the Ojoku community, Senator Bukola Saraki and members of the People Democratic Party (PDP) over the loss of a great family man.

Prof. Sulaiman describes Senator AbdulRafiu Ibrahim as a core progressive whom he has known for years but got to know him very well over the last year. His relationship with the late Senator was characterized by shared progressive ideology, genuine commitment to servant leadership, and good governance across all levels in Kwara State and Nigeria.

According to him,
The death of my respected friend, a political associate, and fellow progressive came to us all as a rude shock. Sen. Ibrahim was a man with a good heart and was selfless in his relationship with his people. I recall our conversation after the last election where we both affirmed that brotherhood remains sacrosanct in our collective pursuit for a better Kwara. He is indeed a progressive at heart. Sen. Rafiu was one of the best senators we ever produced in Kwara South.

This is a moment of reflection on the essence of life and how transient it can be. Death is one debt we owe our Creator. Our good deeds on earth are the only vectors that can immortalize our existence in the world. Senator Rafiu led a legacy-driven life and he shall forever be remembered for his good deeds.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljana Fridaus. Amin.

Signed.

Prof. Wale Sulaiman,
President, RNZ Foundation
