In the spirit of the upcoming Sallah celebration, TeamNigeria4Change on Monday began distributing free food packages to vulnerable individuals across the state. The initiative, aimed at spreading joy and alleviating the burden of food insecurity during the festive period, has become an annual tradition for the group.
The beneficiaries, comprising widows, orphans, and indigent families, received a complete pack of OUNJE-EKO (Lagos Food), containing essential items such as rice, spaghetti, butter, noodles, and semo. The packages were distributed at various locations across the state, including local government areas and community centers.
According to the group “The initiative is a way of giving back to the community and complementing the efforts of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led administration in providing support to those in need during festival periods. We believe that everyone deserves to celebrate and enjoy the festive season with dignity.”
TeamNigeria4Change has been actively involved in various community development projects and philanthropic initiatives across the state. This Sallah food distribution is another testament to the organization’s commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of Nigerians.
