The All Progressives Congress (APC) has adopted consensus mode of primary election to select candidates for Kwara 2024 local government elections.
Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi disclosed this on Tuesday while addressing Stakeholders at the State Party Secretariat, Ilorin.
Fagbemi said APC would use consensus approach to select candidates to avoid conflicts, noting that primaries would be held where necessary.
He said zoning arrangements within local governments will play critical role in candidate selection.
The meeting was attended by party elders, executive members from the 16 local government areas and 193 Ward APC, as well as present and former chairmen and house of assembly members.
