BTA Foundation Boosts Education In Omu-Aran With Scholarship, Educational Materials, Cash Donation



In a bid to enhance educational development in Kwara South District, particularly in Omu-Aran, Barrister Titilope Akogun, President of BTA Foundation, has made a generous donation of educational materials and N50,000 cash to the summer school organized by Federated Omu-Aran Students Union (FOSU).

Represented by Mr. Michael Oyeniyi, Akogun handed over the materials, including the cash, to FOSU’s President, Mrs. Rukayat Ogundeyi, at the Omu-Aran Muslim School premises on Thursday. He emphasized that education is a lifetime investment and the best legacy.

The donated materials include 100 exercise books, 10 mathematical sets, and 3 packs of pens. Additionally, Akogun instituted scholarships for three outstanding students from SS1, SS2, and SS3 for one academic year.

Akogun stated that the donation stems from his passion to raise educational standards and academic performances in Kwara South communities. He pledged to continue contributing to other areas, including agriculture, healthcare, and human capital development.

The BTA Foundation President commended the summer school teaching staff for their dedication and sacrifice, as well as the FOSU executive and members for organizing the summer school.

Mrs. Alimat Olufadi, Coordinator of Akogun Forum, urged students to utilize the opportunities learned at the summer school to improve their future academic performances. She praised Akogun for his generosity and philanthropic efforts.

Mrs. Ogundeyi, FOSU’s President, thanked Akogun for the donation, which will benefit the teaching staff and students. She assured that the association will continue to impact students with desired knowledge to excel in their examinations and future academic pursuits.

Students Omolara Oladipo and Kamaldeen Al-Amin praised FOSU and Akogun for their contributions to education, promising to be good ambassadors of the summer school by excelling academically.
