The Azeez Yakubu/Abolude Campaign team, led by the Director General, Prof. Bashir Olaitan, yesterday visited members of the Boluwatife Haulage Transport Society in Omuaran, Irepodun Local Government Area, seeking their support for the forthcoming election.
The team also visited the Butcher Association, where they promised to look into the condition of the abattoir and welfare of the union in the local government.
At the Boluwatife Haulage Transport Society, Prof. Olaitan assured the members that the Azeez Yakubu/Abolude administration would prioritize their welfare and create an enabling environment for their business to thrive.
“We recognize the importance of your union in the transportation sector and we promise to support you in every way possible,” Prof. Olaitan said.
The members of the transport society, led by their chairman, commended the campaign team for the visit and pledged their support for the Azeez Yakubu/Abolude ticket.
At the Bucher Association, Prof. Olaitan decried the deplorable condition of the abattoir and promised that the Irepodun Local Government Chairman hopeful, Hon Azeez Yakubu Tinuola will revamp it if elected.
“Our govt will not only renovate the abattoir but also provide necessary facilities to ensure the welfare of the butchers,” he said.
The chairman of the Bucher Association thanked the campaign team for their promises and assured them of the association’s support.
The DG was in company of other top campaign executives, party Leaders, among others.
