I come with profound gratitude and humility.
This marks the dawn of a new era for our great kingdom. With my ascension as the Oloro of Oro Kingdom, I accept this sacred responsibility not as a right but as a call to serve every soul under our noble land—be they young or old, man or woman, friend or even former rival.
First, I bow in reverence to our kingmakers. Your wisdom, perseverance, and unflinching commitment to our cherished customs have guided us to this moment. I deeply appreciate your trust and dedication. May the spirit of unity and peace you have nurtured in this process flourish as a beacon for generations yet unborn.
To the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, and the entire administration, your steady guidance and support in ensuring peace and stability throughout this selection process has been monumental. I pledge to work hand-in-hand with you and your government for the continued development of Oro Kingdom and Kwara State as a whole. Together, we will lay the foundation for a future that reflects the greatness of our people.
To my fellow royal fathers—beginning with the Emir of Ilorin, the distinguished Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Council—I greet you all with warm regards. I look forward to working with you in harmony to uphold the sanctity of our traditions and build a stronger community of leaders across the state.
While my journey to this throne was not without its challenges, I want to take this moment to extend a hand of friendship to those who contested with me along the way. I hold no grudge or ill will. My reign will not be built on divisions but on forgiveness, unity, and progress. I am committed to settling any misunderstandings and ensuring that all voices are heard, for only through collaboration can we achieve the true potential of our kingdom,
To the proud sons and daughters of Oro Kingdom, my reign will be anchored in service, inclusion, and progress. My heart and doors will remain open to all, for no king reigns alone. It is with your support, advice, and involvement that we will transform Oro Kingdom into a land of prosperity, education, culture, and development.
However, In the spirit of sacrifice toward the kingship process, we lost one of the kingmaker in Oro Kingdom. The late High Chief Rapheal Sunday Ademola Adeoti, the Oniwo of Oro compound at Iddo-Oro, he was a very dogged fighter who stood for justice and unity of Oro Kingdom throughout his life time. May his soul rest in peace.
I will like to show my sincere appreciation to all my lovers across the globe, my friends, business associate, and my family.
While considering the task before us, as a united and indivisible kingdom, let us walk this path together—with hope, courage, and faith—as one family. From this day onward, we will not dwell on the divisions of yesterday but focus on the opportunities of tomorrow. In unity, we will achieve greatness. If we all agreed in the progress of Oro Kingdom and development of our Dear State, we don’t have any reason to be battle for our downfall, but to work together in love, unity and understanding.
May the Almighty God bless Oro Kingdom, bless Kwara State, and bless Nigeria at large.
Thank you all. Long live the Oloro of Oro Kingdom!
Signed:
His Royal Highness
Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye
The Oloro of Oro Kingdom
