1. INTRODUCTION
This memorandum is written in firm support of Amofin Titilope Akogun, a selfless, visionary leader whose track record of service, innovation, and grassroots empowerment distinguishes him as a candidate of immense value and capacity. His aspiration to represent Ekiti, Isin, Oke-Ero, and Irepodun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives is not only timely but also deeply rooted in a legacy of impactful initiatives and people-driven advocacy.
2.COMMUNITY-FOCUSED INITIATIVES AND INTERVENTIONS
Amofin Akogun has consistently demonstrated his commitment to community development through practical programs designed to address real challenges. Some of his notable interventions include:
✅Go Corporate Initiative
A transformative program that empowers young people with corporate skills, register freely 40 companies for beneficiaries in 2024, preparing them for start up businesses, opportunities and long term business development, professional success and entrepreneurship.
✅Igi-Iwe since 2017
An education-support initiative that has provided scholarships to over 132 bright but indigent students, Free JAMB forms for over 154 students, provide books, school materials, and learning aids to students, especially in underprivileged communities—promoting literacy and academic excellence.
✅Online Banking Empowerment Scheme
A digital financial inclusion project that trains young adults and market traders on mobile banking, online savings, and cashless transactions, providing over 50 beneficiaries with Free POS machines and start up capital of N25,000 each to helping them adapt to the digital economy.
✅Oyinbo Farmer Scheme
A sustainable agriculture project that engages and equips young people with food export knowledge to the UK, US, Canada and other countries of the world, digital sales – marketing, food item branding and how to sell on different online platforms, farming tools, seedlings, and training to boost food security and rural employment.
✅Feed A Family initiative
A Monthly initiative that that provides food items and cash support to selected underprivileged families monthly.
✅Operation Safe Water
Prior to this moment, Amofin Akogun has through his BTA Foundation engaged in rehabilitation, drilling and repairs of motorized boreholes in different communities in Kwara South.
✅Omo Oloore Scheme
Amofin Akogun through his BTA Foundation has engaged in provision of food items and cash support for petty traders nearing 1000 in different communities in Kwara South.
*What is the real deal?*
These initiatives have been consistently executed—without holding public office—a true testament to his commitment and capacity. He has engaged in programs which seek to address the monstrous challenges confronting us as a people in our Federal Constituency. Though not on a large scale, but telling us lots are possible if given a political leverage to massively facilitate Government intervention projects. He is not a man that would get to office and not know what to do in office.
